==History==

The airline was established under the name Aboitiz Air on 28 January 1988 as a joint venture by Aboitiz and Andres Soriano. The company signed a memorandum of understanding on marketing and sales activities for domestic cargo operations with Cebu Pacific in August 1997. Aboitiz Air as it was previously known, leased all cargo holds of Cebu Pacific's Douglas DC-9 aircraft. It was wholly owned by Aboitiz One. Following a rebranding, the cargo airline took the name 2GO.
